please shut my eyes
if not forever
then for tonight

shadows walk around me
my mind is going crazy
i want to get up
but my legs are far to lazy

my eyes wide open
my jaw hung loose
my thoughts tied to light
an awakened noose

fear of staying awake
i want to fall asleep
i close my eyes to try
to lose myself deep

holding all my breaths
to hopefully pass out
with my mouth wide open
i let out muted shouts

windows are my eyeballs
open without shades
the beams of moonlight
are tiny little blades

justify my prayer
by putting me to sleep
i pray the lord
my fears to keep

cause if i sleep
before i die
i pray my lord
to shut my eyes

the end is near
i see the light
burning my soul
so very bright

please take me now
away from all of this
endless insanity
incase its contagious

it is here now
the end has come
i must take in the sun
so amen i am done [comments] => 5 [counter] => 184 [topic] => 13 [informant] => abnormalpunk [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 2 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Jeremy, jeremy, jeremy...just reading these words makes me want to lay down at your altar. I truly adore you, by this poem alone I would have your love child

so long as you where soley responsible for its financial needs to an excess of £ 45,000 PA

Great poem can relate very much so... Piece of advice... the last stanza could use a boost...But all in all it was awesome
