don't bother telling me
that it'll all be okay
don't bother pretending
we'll ever be the same
'cause I won't believe you
I know it's just an act
it's another broken promise
that you can't take back
don't ask me how I'm doing
I don't want to have to lie
don't feel guilty or pity me
so it's one less thing to hide
forget all that we were
that you changed my life
a reason to at last be happy
just leave me behind
turn away and don't look back
ignore my reddened eyes
don't reach out a helping hand
just leave me crushed inside
