[hometext] => dedicated to litlle cleo my cat who died on tues 24th august 2004 may her spirit be in heaven.
[bodytext] => Twas damp and dark with wriggling worm, The stench of night and soil unfirm. She bent her back and cried tired tears.. "This hole be mine one of my years" Dark filled the ditch as my spade drove hard, She dug with her hands nails black and marred. The lantern candle flickerd alone, on that night that was taken by the unknown. "Would it be so bad to think that we, might sleep undisturbed for eternity". First time i'd pondered on her words... and agreed it be alright. Twas a cold and twilight night.. as we layed poor cleo down, Down in the dark soil. A handful each we said our piece. Left lantern burning, lit up the sky.. My child asked why, shrugged my reply..to say goodbye. The cat i had fed and shood off the bed. Little cleo no more no whisker nor paw. I closed the back door, mud on the floor. Tis time we should sleep, wish all a safe keep.
