God, its been a long, long time I see the questions in you eyes, go ahead get 'em off your mind Would you like a cup of coffee, or maybe a bite to eat ? I know a place where we can go, its just right down the street Guess I never thought I'd run into you this way Lord knows if I had, I'd have rehearsed what to say So ... how'm I doin' ? Well, I guess I'm doin' fine There ain't no new love in my life, I haven't had the time Do I still think about you ? Now there's a loaded gun If there's an easy answer, I can't come up with one ... So, If you don't wanna know the truth Don't look in my eyes If you don't wanna know how I've been doin' Since you said good bye Don't take my hand in yours Don't read behind this mask Keep in mind there may be questions better left unasked Day after day, I struggle to survive If you don't wanna know the truth Don't look in my eyes You make it look so easy, the way you're movin' on Seems to me you've hardly even noticed that I'm gone Do you know now why you left ? Could it be you were afraid ? Were the strength of your emotions just too much for you to take ? Have you found somebody new to keep you warm now late at night ?
