Array ( [sid] => 59971 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Las Vegas [time] => 2004-08-13 03:54:22 [hometext] => I live in Las Vegas and it sucks, this was written on a day where the weather was 112 degrees with 70% humidity. [bodytext] => The sun shines down to a place with nothing but dirt.
A desert so hot it might well be Hell.
The grass is all brown, made hard and dry.
The trees are all dead, no water for food.
The road ahead plays tricks on my eyes
I seem to see water but know it's not there.
There are no clouds to shield the sun.
The sky is so blue it might be the ocean.
The lake is dried up.
There's no where to go.
The air conditioning rattles on above my head.
The air teases me with a promise of rain.
The humidity makes my skin stick to my clothes.
I dream of a place, where there's nothing but rain.
No sun to burn my pasty skin.
If Hell had a name, it would be called home. LOL good to see people from this neck of the woods on here! I just moved from Mesquite bout an hour from Vegas to Utah where the weather isnt much different still. Yes the humidity is a pain. They all tell me that Ill get used to this heat Iv been in this desert for almost five years now and nooooo Im still frying!! Keep a chin up winter will be here soon then its beautiful and pleasant again. This coming from someone who came from snow country and hated winters isnt that ironic!
