I felt i had found it more than once
I searched far and wide below and above
But there was always that little hunch
̃
When i saw the way you loved me deep
It stole my heart completely away
I'd sit and look in the mirror and weep
At how ugly i am in all ways
̃
I knew i would never be good enough
There was nothing i had to offer
I was hard on us, i made it real rough
But i knew you belonged to another
̃
I tried to prove to myself i was good for you
And true your dreams i could make
I constantly said that i love you
Knowing i was your biggest mistake
̃
I wish i had your beautiful self esteem
And that i felt worth somthing in life
I wish to you i hadn't been mean
But i did try to make things right
̃
Nobody ever wanted a life with me
Enough to share and give their all
Instead they always gave up on me
So back in my corner i crawl
̃
I wanted to dream and share time with you
And make your world a sacred place
If you hadn't given up on me so soon
We'd be standing face to face
̃
My heart kept loving, in you it grew
Your love inside me will forever haunt
I dreamt, trusted, and beleived in you
Now be happy, you got what you want [comments] => 8 [counter] => 355 [topic] => 32 [informant] => OreO [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

Hello OreO, This is a great write! I once thought I found my soulmate but now we're not even friends anymore. Those words are how I felt... Like I was not good enuff for her. But she was my first true love and I will never forget her! Panther
