My heart sheds a tear
each time that I'm told,
of a tale of another
who is lonely and cold.
My heart wants to warm them
and soothe all their pain,
my arms want to hug them
and heal them again.
Compassion is something
we all should possess,
forgiveness sublime
linked with true selflessness.
Its all well and good
just to talk our way through,
but the mark of your life
is to go out and do!
Actions speak louder
than words, so they say,
so let your deeds manage
to make someones day!

| I love the message your poem conveys. I, too, wish I could be the healer of all pain. Wouldn't this world be great if for every person that felt pain, there was somebody else to take it away? I hope your poem has warmed a heart that was previously lonely and cold. It would mine, if I weren't already of good spirits. May your compassion always brighten the lives of others. :) |
