All I hear is the chattering of a distant
Television. I hear in the
passing roar of vehicles. While I am
sitting in the dark, the sound of the
distant silence is what keeps me company.

As the sun rises, and the early morning
hours begin to peak, a new silence
reaches my ear. The people are awake and
moving. I hear their voices dancing
around me, like the planets dance around
the never ceasing sun. I hear the clinking
of dishes in the kitchen showing the
life in the home. The voices of the
people come to me, and I hear from
myself a voice. Above all this noise
and clatter, one sound is the loudest
of all. The silence is so loud it over
takes all the other senseless chatter.

I don’t know how this silence has
Become the loudest part of my life.
It engulfs my brain, a dark blanket
clouding over all my thoughts. The
silence has to mean something, it became
a bigger part of my life with age. I
felt it growing, it grew. The way I felt
the growth was like a mother
watching a child grow. A sense of pride,
excitement, and worry was always there.

As I feel more people leave, this
shadowing silence grows more rapidly
with power. The more days I feel
the sense of being alone, the
more this silent monster
takes my life. One day the
shadowed silence will suck the
last of my hopes of someone
coming to be with me. Then
I will be meant to be alone.
With that final day, hour, minute to
moment I will be lost.

Till the day the silence wins I
will wait hoping for one to
set me free. He will
make the world alive again, he
will make the sound no longer distant.
He will make the silence fade
into the shadows. For now
I will listen to the distant
chatter, and wait, and listen to the
loud approaching silence.

Awww, I can really feel the torment in this one.
I love the way it is written, it really draws you in.
I know what you mean about people leaving, thats how I feel sometimes.
I hope your world will feel alive again soon
