Edging onward towards my fate
Crushed against those there before
By bovine who were late

Movie Tickets, Disneyland, Restrooms in a crunch
I stomp and crush and trample
Reminiscent of my lunch

They warned us “You are what you eat!”
And now, with every public battle
I perceive my omnivorous way
For indeed – I’ve become cattle.

Love the coined term, and the irony to it- and a great comparison of our personal actions, not acting quite human

Succinct social comment. I like the picture - its disturbing in a comic way. And those seagulls add the necessary air of mystery to the entire picture, being, as they are, without sea . . .

Amusing and delectable.

Keep writing, Psyche.

Oh me, oh my, I have eaten something yellow.
Was feeling kinda hyper, now I'm just feelin' mellow.
Didn't know I could change so much from munchin' simple mana.
Oh, goodness, please peel me now, for I think I'm a banana!
Sorry--couldn't resist :) I'm a bit giddish after a night of insomnia. I loved the poem. It's funny, cute, and smacks of truth! *****
