5 Days...of almost dead...
5 days...of silence in my head...
all it took to erase parts of my mind
crushing me
breaking me
almost blind
Awoke to tragedy on day 6
I'm not here
I am gone
too much to fix
too much to remember
I don't wanna know
let me be- just let me go.
18 more days...of sadness like this
18 days...of learning what reality is
Starting over...old becomes new
I try to accept what I cannot do
Falling away like ashes and dust
My life
I will live
I'll do it
I must
a new me will start over
a new me will begin
5 days....
didn't cause my days to end....

i enjoyed reading this poem, i felt the style of the poem was unique, and it gave an insight to deep emotions felt after such a traumatic experiance,
