Nerves struck,
Defences up,
Watch out for the little pup.

Playfully we start,
Not knowing each others own heart,
I stand in front,
Quite abrupt and blunt,
Hit down once more,
I will not loose this war,
'cause I lost it once before.

I hurt her bad,
This I know,
I wish I could have shown,
What I truly felt.

All I get these days is 'I’m sorry',
And 'I don’t want to be with you anymore',
Punished for what I done before.

We could be happy together,
She knows it as well,
But she’s too contented,
Living in her shell.

There she is safe,
Can’t take any risks,
Apparently she took a gamble on me before.

I took a gamble too,
I don’t want to see what we could have,
Flushed down the loo.

So I plead once more,
Stop kicking me out the door,
Let’s try to be once more.

Stopping looking forward,
For all the answers,
Look back as well.

I do it,
I think of all my friends I left behind,
I think of the people I call friends now,
And I wonder if they match somehow.

We end on an argument,
But I can tell,
She still loves me more than she is willing to tell.

We were happy our pasts left without a trace,
We could be like that more,
Only if she lets me through the door.

Sometimes the pain is too much to take a chance on again. Hopefully she will reconsider but . . .

I don't mean this rude wot so ever, but you are gonna have to get over her. Obviously she doesn't want to be back with you. And keeping on about it will only make matters worse. Dude, I'm trying to be a friend. You will only hurt yourself more.
