[hometext] => I've had dealings with far too many 'professionals' in the past three years, they're just running round like headless chickens, they haven't got a clue.
[bodytext] => They took me to the doctor,
They said he would be nice, They told me he would help me They said he’d give advice. I believed what I was told, For my mummy never lies, Instead I should have searched For the truth hid in her eyes. I wondered why she got upset But I never really thought That maybe I didn’t act In the way that good girls ought. She was crying when she left me, I begged for her to stay, But the doctors wouldn’t let her, They made her go away. The doctors looked me over, They prodded at my side, They did all sorts of tests on me Till I very nearly cried. They said if I behaved And did what I was told, Then I could have a blanket Instead of being cold. After that, if I was good And ate all that’s on my plate, Then maybe I could watch TV, Or talk to my best mate. And if I really tried And worked with all my might, Perhaps then would let me Have a visitor one night. But eating wasn’t easy, I just couldn’t life my fork, So they wouldn’t let me move, I couldn’t even walk. They put me in a wheel chair, But still the food was bad, I couldn’t sleep at all When I counted what I’d had. They wanted me to eat too much, They watched me growing fat, I don’t supposed they cared though, They’re not much good at that. Finally they released me, Expecting me to fly, But like a bird that’s wounded, I fell straight out ‘ the sky. I landed back amongst them, In the hospital’s sterile nest, They said I needed feeding, They said I needed rest. Again they saw me growing, Tripling in size, Ballooning to a monster Right before their eyes. Strangely though, they liked this, They thought it made me right, They never saw the desperation Cried alone at night. Once more they tried to free me, Once more I had a try, But birds with broken wings Simply cannot fly.
