Let me count the ways...
Ooonnneee...
Twoooooo...
Better yet,
Let's go
a different route...

I love Cherry Kool Aid
in a plastic cup...
I love the smell of your
coffee as soon as I get up...

Giggles and hugs
Your face while
you're sleeping...
These are all visions
worthy of keeping.

The sun on your face
the wind in your hair
The look in your eyes
that tells me you care...

Spotting your car
back from my trip...
Holding you tightly
Kissing your lips...

Shuffling your feet
as you walk on the deck...
The curve of your shoulder
as it joins with your neck...

T-shirts and jeans
And Scooby Doo shorts
Laughs that overcame you
and turned into snorts...

Cooking together,
creating a banquet...
Snoodling up close
under the blanket...

To the top of Mt Erie
in a car with no top
A mattress on the floor
on which we would flop...

Trips to the Rez
to buy us a carton...
A scene in a movie
based around fartin'...

Bacon and eggs
and special made biscuits
Your crinkly blue pants
with holes in the pockets...

Walking the floor
swatting at flies...
Getting lost
in the beauty
deep in your eyes...

Hair in the sink,
Hair in the shower
Perched on your ear
a tiny pink flower...

Bread wrapped in foil
flavored with garlic...
Shivers from your touch
that were
no less than seismic...

Rides in the boat
sneaking up on an otter...
A ziplock container
full of peach cobbler...

Cigarettes rolled
from a plastic machine...
The smell of your skin
so fresh and so clean...

Playing word games
with a screename of "Gern"
Being interested in my hobby,
trying to learn...

Feeling the contours
from your waist to your hips...
"Stealing my warm"
My heart turning flips...

These are the things
that run through my memory...
Some things are sweet
and others more steamy...

The things that I saw
and the things that I felt...
I don't think you knew
you made me just melt...

You owned my heart
to do as you pleased
If only your doubts
I had managed to ease...

You felt hopeless,
hurt and confused...
Your trust and your emotions
I chose to abuse...

I pay the price,
I walk here alone...
In a house a mere shadow
of what once was a home...

I love you, I miss you
These things you know...
These words are all that I have
and them, unto you, I do bestow [comments] => 2 [counter] => 193 [topic] => 22 [informant] => ka4ist [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 8 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

Catchy rhythm and I like the personal goofiness that you have in it; Tose 'little things' that mean so much, it seems. Quite a sad ending though.

Bitter sweet, very touching. Very nice imagery. I love how personal it is, I almost feel like I know the person you're talking about. Reminds me of all the little quirks people have that you miss when they're gone. Great work.
