This is the one title
Guaranteed to draw a crowd
For there is nothing more curious
Than a human being
They walk blindly into the dark
Confident of nothing
But their own inquisitiveness
Eyes closed; un-seeing
And now YOU have
Followed your instincts
Let your heart lead the way
Instead of your head
Ventured in despite the warning
Just for the thrill of it
Not knowing what
Will be said
Well, to satisfy your lust
And to reward your daring
I have some words of wisdom
That I will now be sharing
And you can bask
In your wanton glory
For only those who dared
Will hear my story
Think back
To your childhood years
All the laughter
All the tears
Remember what your mother said
See those pictures
In your head
Consider all that was before
Recall your life just once more
For I know what it is you see
Because those memories are ME!
Youre just a reminiscence
Of a past existence
A relic of a wayward thought
Add it up, you come to Nought
And the final irony?
Youre not YOU
You are ME!
So, if you are thinking
Think again
You an illusion
In my brain
And, finally, now that you are here
I can erase you (can you feel the fear?)
Goodbye forever, you don't exist
Your last thought?

Rather good poem, though I must say I didn't read it for the title... sorry. It was the first one on the list, fo That's where I started. Well, sense you're about to erase me, GOODBYE CRUEL WORLD!

I never clicked on your poem title. I followed wachumiri's last comment, thus;
"Wachumiri: DO NOT READ TH.."
I didn't know it mean 'this', so i'm not curious in your particular context. However, It was a good, thoughtful poem, but alas, I have dememorized you first . . . so, um - I'll click the OK button and go somewhere else. Nice not knowing you anymore. |
