[title] => Questioning a Bloody War.

[hometext] => I wrote this poem nearly two years ago when I was beginning to learn about the Middle East conflict. I would like to note that this poem is not suitable for children.
[bodytext] => ***** the women, Slaughter the children, Destroy the crops, Desecrate the temples. Is this a statement? Or full-blown war? All that’s shown is anger, Not the slightest bit of love. Are they fighting for God? Or fighting for power? The perfect society? Perhaps revenge? The mirror has two sides, The soul has even more, Look into your own heart, And look into others’. Look into the mirror, And into your eyes, What do you see? Should it make you cry? Are you really superior? Did you sink down way low? Are you working for peace? Do you even know? Look deep inside, Of yourself and others, Search for the answer, Not your next victim! No one may care, Or no one may know, But please remember that red, Is the color of blood as it flows.
