Finding grief upon grief, the vileness of humanity
I approach with caution through this ripple in time
In fear I may lose my sanity
Seeing the pain and suffering inflicted by these creatures
No way of reversing what they done
Love for these people steadily grows apart
Remembering the months and old days of fun

A path so lonely, I walk alone
The shadows, my only comfort, my companion
No warmth beats beneath my breast
No more of my morals to be my salvation
Wilting flowers along this dark path
Petals ashened by my lack of sorrow
My faith, dead, as the corpse on my shoulders
No where to belong, veins in my body start to narrow

Hate and anger, wars of the world
Silly little games that humans are addicted to
Knowing someone you love may get hurt
No care, no fear, I live for myself so true.
Cold and emotionless, my body ventures along the path
Leaving behind humanity and grief
Continuing my journey to my final destination,
Knowing what I know and believing my beliefs. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 157 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Lost_Shadow [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Very good description on life. I'm sure everyone of us has felt this way at one point or another. I know I have. Thankyou for posting this.
