My best friend left me
vanished without a trace-
but I can still see her smile
upon her gentle face.
My best friend is gone
like leaves on a winter tree
the only comfort that I have
is knowing that she is free.
My best friend's an angel
in heaven as she was here
I know she's watching over me
therefore I have no fear.
My best friend left me
but I'll see her again someday-
Jesus made that promise to me
so I know it'll never go away.
My best friend for always
heedless of all the hoopla-
she will always be in my heart...
I love you forever, Gramma.
