And as reality hits I realize I am not fine
Because I am righteously slicing searching for what
One by one while each door is shuts
In my face causing the reaction, the movement of the blade
Over and over until the screaming fades
But it never really stops it invades my mind
Searching frantically but no comfort I find
It is like the world stops spinning and I am left in the dark
The pain becomes unbearable, frightingly sharp
This blade is intoxicating, poisoning my blood
I am being pulled down, drowning in the flood
Positively killing me with its negative effects
Shining with pride while next to me it sets
But I reach for it still because it controls the flow
Of the tears and the blood that come but never go
That rip and tear and torture my soul
And push me falling into this hole
And I climb and grip but I never reach the top
Weakness sets in but the cutting will never stop
One day I fear that I will cut too deep
But you must understand it's suicide I seek
It is the calmness it brings as the shaking subsides
It is the secret lover in which my heart confides
It is being able to breath after a suffocating spell
And faithfully knowing what it could never tell
Of the moisture be it blood or tears
And the blindingly dark haunting years
That I have let this emotion build inside
Of all the times he spoke but lied
And hurt me worse than anyone could
But loving me still when no one else would
