eyes like ice
that search you soul
you feel so weak
they're in control
reaching into
your darkest corners
pulling out
your dirty secrets
...and tossing them aside...
throwing embarrasement
into the lime light
showing everything
it can all now be seen
but no one is laughing
no one is starring
no one is thinking thoughts
ill-ly aimed at you
...because no one really cares...
they aren't talking
behind you back
about the secrets
you hid from yourself
no little whispers
no giggles as you pass
no rude remarks
so stand up straight
...fear was so blind...
hair like gold
it hides your soul
but now the eyes
are chopping it away
and people can see
your scarred face
you feel exposed
the curtains opened
...but still no one stares...
no one points
now that you
are seen
no one pays attention
to your
every move
because everyone else
is just as scared as you
