When as a seed in you, I nurtured inside
Warm & secure
Safe & sure
Your laughter I heard
Your touch I felt
As humming alongwith you
In the sweet lullaby I slept
Eager I was to see your face
To touch that heart
That beat in my same pace
Your pain I felt
Your tears I wept
On seeing me the joy you felt
With misty eyes and a tender smile
My forehead you kissed
And welcomed me to this world
Time flew by
Years rolled by
But I was always
Yours – A Mama’s Boy
Every little mischief
Every naughty act
Every little punishment
But, I loved the fact
That I was a Mama’s Boy
Your talents surprised me
Yours skills inspired me
Having you around
Was for me a happy playground
How & when those black clouds came around
I never knew
Away my world it blew
Snatching away the dearest friend I ever knew
So much I learnt from you, dear mother
What it meant to care
What it meant to share
What it meant to be strong
I know you are watching your boy
All the time, all through the year
I feel you smile with pride
I still feel your heart beat inside
Just like when I was a nurturing seed inside
Only you I know understands
The presence of someone in my life
Your absence left behind a deep void
Tears stream down, so hard to avoid
But promise to myself I will
That void with beautiful memories of you I will fill.

Wish I could turn back the hands of time
