Love as much as you can,
Take as little as you need
Let’s try and remove
Some of the hate and the greed

When life gets you down
Let us look to the light
Think of the little things
That make you smile bright

When you think all is lost
And that no one cares
There’s sure somewhere a friend
That you didn’t realise was there

When you see one that’s falling
Please lend a helping hand
Despite what they’ve done
Let us try to understand

And for our children
The future of our land
Let's teach them what’s right
So they make a firm stand

The borrowed line is the first line of the poem. :) [comments] => 13 [counter] => 647 [topic] => 21 [informant] => Mick_Puttock [notes] => (Edited by Mod_11) :>) [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 25 [ratings] => 5 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

Lovely sentiments. The world would be a wonderful place if we would all heed these words, but alas, it is not always easy.

Very good advice, hope I can do it, yes we need to teach our children right, too many go through life without guidence and wind up where I work, in a prison. If they only had parents to care. Good thanks
