Serenity is a breeze off the lake
Wafting on sunshine, dappled through treetops
Diamonds dance on the water
Conversation flows like wine
Perfectly content to be here
Colorful array of people come and go
There is truth in their faces
Nothing hypocritical in their stances
This is who we arethe locals
Old hippies in worn out jeans
Long gray ponytails on the men
Something about that makes me smile
As if struggling to hold onto youth at all costs
Everybody moved out to the country it seems
And on this perfect afternoon they congregate
By the lake for a cold beer and a smoke
The sun winks and smiles at such rightness

What a comfortable picture. I can smell the tobacco...feel the breeze...see the motorcycles.... Are there motorcycles? No matter. I see them anyway.
