I lingered near,
Upon the gate,
A heavy sigh,
Knowing I was late,
I could have helped,
Intead of slept,
But my actions gave me,
A nightmare today.
My eyes all watery,
My heart starts falling,
Where did you go?
I've looked so low,
I've looked so high,
High enough,
That I couldn't reach,
I had to fly,
In order to see.
I opened the gate,
Which gave a silent creak,
My eyes are puffing,
Tears start to leak,
Rivers and Rivers,
That I start to quiver.
My head was slumped,
Couldn't see the front,
Blaming me,
For what went wrong.
For how much I long,
For how much I cry,
I cannot take back,
All those lies,
Now I think,
Now I see,
How much I loved you,
But now I cannot speak.
I turned away,
Away from the flowers,
Waiting Hours and Hours,
Before I moved,
I dragged my feet,
Away from your grave,
I could have been there,
But instead,
I slept.
