Slap me, across my cheek
Turn me, into a lamb so meek
Clip me, don’t let me fly
Cage me, I will surely die

Silence me, cut out my tongue
Burn me, it’s how you have fun
Bruise me, another colour
Cut me, my pain you devour

Blind me, gouge out my eyes
Love me, it’s painted lies
Freedom, keep me from it
Hide me, in your bottomless pit

Deafen me, plug my ears
You've done it, for all these years
Twisted tales, from a heart that flirts
If this is love, then love hurts

Whoa, spare me that love! Talk about twisted, for sure. Hope this is not truly your love life.

Your pain flowed beautifully out of your words. The rhythym and style was very nice, but the message, was hurting and saddening. You did well in writing about your agony. I liked the last stanza the best. Especially the last line. But, I don't think it's love.

oww crazy I hope this is just how love feels (as often it does) and not what 'love' is to you. Good poem in any case.
