Tears Of Pearls

|
mixed emotions hover around melancholy minds
passions wilting like dried crimson rose petals
uncertainties dance in midair
stepping swiftly on misty clouds of blue
darkness forms a shroud around the atmosphere,
forbidding the starlight from sparkling
iron bars form black gates,
surrounding the fallen souls
like jewels from a crown,
the tears of pearls plummet downward
though it were a thousand miles
and land in silver springs
the hard pearls hurt as they fall from eyes
like dropping the weight of the world
but the silver streams flow fast and strong
and carry the pearls, the tears far away
to soothe the souls of their crying beams shine down like strands of diamonds
alas, the melancholy vibes diminish
peace shines through the healing eyes

| WOW... deep!! I loved the line-like dropping the weight of the world. sometimes I feel ovewhelmed by it all, and ths really speaks to me. yet another great poem!!!A++++ |
