Tangible proof of who she was drifted down stream
To the mouth of the ocean, forever lost
White-knuckled flyer boarded the plane for Lija
Thought the newspaper misspelled her name
She won the lottery of love
Sunglasses on and her hat pulled down
Get away fast before they find out shes a fake
Leopard-skin tights and shiny black shoes
Hell recognize her when he sees her
She has no doubt of that because he said he could
Pick her out in a crowd, feel her heart beat for him
Engines whir and dreams spin into high gear
Was this her best ever idea?
Eating pretzels and reading magazines
She feels like shes sixteen again
Funny how that feeling fades with time
Then come around hits you from behind
The sun was hot on her face as she shaded her eyes
Watched him walk toward her, joyfully she thought
Her name on his lips was a song in her ear
This was her best ever idea!

I was humbled and touched by these words
touched by the idea of this simple girl with a simple idea. love, it happens all the time no matter what they say. We think about it all the time but rarely talk about it. I feel a strange connection to the girl in the leopardskin tights and want to know more about her, I imagine that she has a superficial side - but is just the most glorious piece of miricle engineering underneath the makeup! got to go , I enjoyed this Merry |
