Array ( [sid] => 49577 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => how it must suck to be my father [time] => 2004-05-29 09:07:26 [hometext] => enough is said in the title [bodytext] => I’m not you
I’m just your mistake
and I laugh at what you did.

you never wanted me
and you treated thus
and I guess it must suck to be you

I hated the neglect
but I laugh at you now
you did the deed and had to pay your price

and I bet you lie awake at night
wondering about me

and I bet you lie awake sometimes
and wish you hadn’t of had me

It must eat at you every day
to know nothing of your daughter

how did I grow up?
who am I becoming?

ha, you’ll never know
you had me and got rid of me
never even noticed me

it’s too late to wish now
too late to want a chance

but even if you had that reward
you wouldn’t know what to do
you’d be in such awe and shock
at the women that I can be

I’m your mistake
the one you never wanted
the one you now wish you had
and I laugh at what you did.

oh how it must suck to be the one
who had to pay child support
but never had so much as a picture

oh how it must suck to be you!

You express that anger with much grace, I know a boy who felt that way toward a mother who did the same.

I see his beautiful smile each and everyday, he is and always be my reason to live, as I' m sure there is one who feels as I do, all about how wonderful you are as well.

Thank you for sharing this. You said it so well.

Chris

This is very well constructed and honestly emotional at the same time ---- a combination that's nearly impossible to achieve. I am impressed. Extremely well done!!!!!!

I wonder if my daughter's father will feel the same?
He abandoned her just before she was 2.
Not a card, a phone call, even a murmur.
Too bad he has missed out on such a beautiful
creation that he was part of, & not a second will he ever get back.
This is extremely well written!
