calm seas suddenly made violent
Im struggling to stay afloat.
If I could make it to the shore,
I could escape your turbulent waters...
but your waves force me under,
I try to catch my breath
but all I take in is you....
and you starve out my air.
I fight to reach the surface,
and Im pushed further down...
and all I grasp is sand as I hit bottom...
theres no point to fight
Im lost, adrift,
waiting to drown....
in my sea of your memory.

holder - you're really growing your poetry-- the metaphor here is a lovely new twist. Nice, nice imagery! I am again impressed.

PS - I'd throw you a rope and pull you out... if I thought it'd reach. : )
