[bodytext] => I hate the reflection in the mirror, Of hating my body I am no beginner, For years I have stood and I have rejected, The person in front that is looking back reflected. I cry sometimes when I see what stares back at me, From self loathing I can never see me breaking free, I long to love my body and accept what I’ve got, But acceptance for me is a very long shot. Why can’t my body be the perfect shape? Without the aid of an airbrush or tit tape? I will never be able to love my natural form, How should women look, what is the norm. I lay awake fretting about the way I am, And feel like shutting myself up like a clam, If only I didn’t feel so ugly inside and out, My self love is suffering a serious drought. I accuse my boyfriend of lying when he says I look great, I go to the mirror and the image inside it I hate, Hate it with such a passion deep in my heart, Hating myself has become a true art.
