a good friendship,
just like food,
needs all of its ingredients
for if even one
is missing
the mouth-watering chocolate desert
you worked so hard to make
may appear sweet
but is actually very bitter

put together the ingredients that follow
so your friends hearts arent hollow

trust,
for the days I tell you secrets.
honesty,
for the days I need your opinion.
loyalty,
for the days I feel betrayed.
care,
for the days I fall and need help getting up.
a phone number, only i am aware of,
for the days and nights I feel ignored
love,
for the days I feel no one cares.
humor,
for the days I need a laugh.
intelligence,
for the days I need help with my homework.
a smile,
for the days my heart feels frozen.
a shoulder,
for the days I need to cry.
and a recollective mind,
for the days we need to remember happier times.

a good friendship,
just like food,
needs all of its ingredients

Exactly! EXACTLY!!! You could not had described it in a better way! That is why a REAL friend and a TRUE friendship is hard to find, but you know, just keep your eyes open, who knows, he/she may be just right beside you!(*wink*)^_^
