he will never understand me
for he does not understand himself;
so very far across the distant sea

for mine to him is a muck of
existance; ahh i am far too sorry
he does not understand my melancholy

i made music for his heart's soul as
if i were a conch shell; we flew
across the waters then all to pieces fell

mistakenly believing one day i would be at
his side; rug pulled from beneath feet
all love washed out with endless tide

carrion birds fly in bright sun above
me, he does not love me, i walk life alone;
happy winds in my sails remain unblown

I wish for you soft gentle winds to again fill your sails and carry you to a new land filled with love and contentment. One that will last eternally.

Hugs,

Aww hun, this is so beautiful and so sad. If he doesnt understand you then he is not for you. There is someone out there and that someone will make you so happy that you'll forget all about these hard times.

If someone makes you unhappy my dear mother then that someone simply isnt worth knowing.

Hugs 'n Lotsa Love
- Becca

I hope this is fictional. A heart breaking write filled with so much sadness. I hope no one does this to you ever.

Do not look back too often. The future may hold a different love one that is worthy of you. Try to smile in spite of.

There has never been any doubt of the fact that you are a brilliant poetess. Your words and ideas flow like honey. My dear friend, there comes a time to let go of the anger and hurt and realize things just werent meant to be.

Love is like a butterfly that soars on fragile wngs,
Delicate and lovely as the pleasure that it brings,
If you try to catch it, it gently flys away,
And leaves behind a lonely heart that dreams of it each day

I know the poem is sad but as it is written I find it lyrical and mesmerizing in it's portrayal of resignation but not hopelessness.....Russ

Once again top notch writing. This is sad...but if writing about it helps by all means write away. I think its more important to think of the present then the past. All things in the past are used to create the future, but its better to think of the good and be happy and to use those sad negative times in order to prevent them from happening again.

Excellent ending, and vividly emotive.
This guy was a chump!
Onwards and upwards Nessa; you fly high above the crowd.
