[hometext] => A long time ago when I was a little one and sang on the Radio.
[bodytext] => Just For One Day Standing on a stage, a song flowed from her lips. Just a little thing, no movement in her hips, only a nervous twitch, a smile and big blue eyes, as she tried to win this contest, she only had to try. A shiny satin dress, a pair of patent shoes, the song should have been, sad and lonely blues. But instead it came out country, mellow and sweet, but was it enough so the other's she could beat? When the music ended, she was left standing there, folded hands in front, as a ribbon slipped from her hair. Someone clapped their hands, she saw someone stand, at that very moment, she felt very grand. Of course she didn't win, at least not on that day. The satin dress was hung, she went out to play. Years have passed, once again the story's told, of the time she was in the limelight, and she was ten years old. Author: June E.
