Shadows
Do you sleep at night,
when there is no one there
Or do you cry at night,
when you think no one is there to hear your tears
Is it all in your mind
that the shadows are alive
Or do I really watch you
sleep at night, waiting
You will one-day reach
out your hand into the dark,
into the night
And I will be in the shadows
to pull you in and take you away
I am not what you think
but what you fear
Dare you think you know me
But little do you see, staring lost
into my shadow
With a glimpse you think
you know it all
But away from my eyes
you will want to hide
Soon you will
run away from me
My shadow sucks the
soul from within you
But do you really need
your, soul to be whole
To late to turn back now
that you have climbed into my shadow
Did you really think it
was that easy to become someone else
Do you really sleep at night
when there is no one there
Or do you cry at night
when there is no one there to hear your tears
Is it all in your mind
that the shadows are alive
Or do I really watch you
sleep at night

A confusing read for me... Though it seems like a nice poem.
..Maybe I just rushed through it, and didn't fully grasp the concept. |
