[hometext] =>
[bodytext] => As you sit and watch the telly,
Or drink your cup of tea, Are you thinking of your children ? Wondering where they might be. Are they near the railway line ? Maybe playing on the track ? Do you realise that it’s possible ? They may never make it back. Perhaps they’re throwing stones at trains, Or placing debris on the line, A derailment makes one hell of a mess, It’s only a matter of time. Broken glass in the drivers face, His sight now lost for ever, Was it your child that threw the stone ? Showing his mates he’s clever. No parent wants to believe the truth, “My child could never do that” But if you don’t know what they’re doing, How can you dispute the fact ? Children do play on the railway line, They regularly make the news, But only after they’ve been hit by a train, It’s somebody’s child, but whose ?
