reaching in to my mind to make me whole

the love that was had has crashed and burned
much like the reputation I drank so hard to earn

long drawn out pauses of chilly silence
are interrupted by world wide broad cast violence

serenity hasn't made it here to this tiny place
where devils play the mandalin with etchy grace

gone are the days when I would have sat to listen
enthralled to the point my azule eyes glisten

fool that I was for living half dead
searching sluggishly for lover's head

never noticing the missing heart
or a mind that had splintered into jagged parts

I tried to love the beast in me
but in the end someone decided it wouldn't be

Jared the incubuc keep me awake
trudging up love's ghost that I couldn't shake

angels reached for my shattered frame
just limp flesh washed up by October rain

a nawed and broken little saint
that was perfect with vile dishonest taint

golden ripples of a setting sun
my life has finally begun.
