Im on the run, need to escape
Get clean away, make a break
I robbed a bank and shot a guard
Pulling the trigger, wasnt that hard
I was desperate, needed cash fast
To get a new identity, flee from my past
Mixed with the wrong crowd, underworld scum
Thats why now, I have to run
Fed me in crack, put me in a rut
Turned me into, their cheap little slut
Abused my body, ***** with my mind
Waking up not knowing, what I would find
Covered in bruises, black and blue
Cannot hide them, makeup wont do
Hideous looking, with my swollen head
Started thinking, Id be better off dead
Im not old, only twenty eight
Have a beautiful daughter, she is great
Looked at her, with her puppy sad eyes
Brought me to tears, made me realise
What I done, never took nerves
To give her the life, she deserves
Fill her with the love, she gives me
Away from the seediness, keep her free
Surely any mother, would do the same
To save their kid, being a pawn, in this game
If I had to do it again, I certainly would do
To save my kid from hell. could you
