Not being the person that was before.
Battered, cut, bruised, and sore.
Drowning in internal rage.
Alone left bleeding on life's stage.
Watching unable to act.
Emotions being pushed to her core.
Not being the person that was before.
Departing, was a cold hard fact.
Pain of cutting unable to feel.
Praying and knowing this cannot be real.
Hearing the sounds, his words cut deep.
Still to haunt me in my sleep.
Where is that person that was before?
Locked in fear, trapped in self.
Blocking her scream, unable to keep,
Emotions being placed on a shelf.
Now standing unable to move,
Not being the person I was before.
Wanting to step, fearing the fall.
Emotions silenced, unable to call.
Needing helf, comfort and sleep.
Help find that person that was before.
The one lying on that cold hard floor. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 210 [topic] => 48 [informant] => HOPE4ME2 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 19 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

Hi there,
this is a great, heartfelt, strong write.
I think we all can relate to this in one way or another.
It's really good testimony that we can grow.
Keep writing as your talent is your own unique exspression.
good work.

Good poem. I feel that way sometimes.

I must admit that your latest poem is better. I like it's theme of growth and it flows better. The word help is misspelled (third line from the bottom). You are improving as a writer.

Your friend --Archie

I'm glad you stepped over the pain, and left it behind. Don't let your past be your future.
Take care, don't look behind.
David
