[hometext] => I had/have a friend who seems to be my exact opposite. We aren't as close now because we go to different high schools, and I moved away, but it's strange how through it all we are still friends. Hope you enjoy this!!!
[bodytext] => We weren't meant to be together,
You and I, But it seems as if fate pulled us together. From opposite ends of the tracks That still, antiquely, divides the town, But never seperated us. Best friends for forever. You, the uptown hero with everything, Fancy cars and name brand clothes And boyfriends buying you diamond rings, Me, in the "upper-middle" class, With take out food on Friday nights, My part time job, Trying to fit everything in to my crammed schedule That refuses to revolve around me. And you always gliding everything into yours. We have nothing in common Except that you used to eat the crust of my sandwiches When we were in preschool together, Strange how friendships get started that way. And strange how they stick, regardless. Yes, we weren't meant to be friends, But, despite it all, We are anyway.
