your gaze is steady
but no claims to defeat.
without these terms...
stick it in a wood block closing
where every feeling yearns.

wave me down

discarded words...
i've a habit to use them often
no matter as to how absurd.
and repugnance grows...
we don't seem that different
but i don't know.

assume the state of position
just like a conducive fiction
exchange a banter so succinctly
impaled as if that's how you take me
i'll remain in place underneath you
but try and again i couldn't be you...
no i couldn't be you.

wave me down
i'm heading home.

entangled fest...
i've a reason to walk away quickly
attending them less and less.
detached, i'm fine...
what's worth otherwise in telling
i repeat you this requited line.
the longing fades...
call me a quoted label conjured
i'd rather live a day today.

assume the make of condition
just like an elusive constriction
contain the game played so plainly
albeit trite i couldn't complain see:
the mass illusion calls for new venue
i wouldn't budge nor even pretend to...
no i won't pretend to.

"what's worth otherwise in telling

I fully appreciate that next line. I understand this sentiment all too well.

Excellent poem. I found it echoes such disenchanted sentiments . . .
