Peace
The shore yawns
While the clouds hug the Moon
And the trees withdraw
The heat of the day
Is soothed in the solid walls
Silence
The sea sings unheard
While the stars keep their counsel
And the birds balance in quiet dreams
The rush of the day
Drowns in the dark windows
But in this peace
A whirlwind of thoughts
Performs a dance
Tired and restless, so unsure
But with persistence
My body
And my blanket excel
In a confused pas-de-deux
But in this silence
A choir of voices
Chants an endless chorus
Trembling, mirthless, so unsteady
My ears
And my pillow shine
In an aimless duet
I go outside
And count the stars
To outnumber these thoughts
They wink at me
In sweet encouragement
I watch the sky
And devour the Big Bang's echo
To shout down these voices
It sucks me in
In soft comfort
The night indeed is peaceful
And as silent as they say
I lay down
In silken moist
So softly
Counted out and hoarse
I sleep in its dark bosom

If I could fall in love with a poem well this one would make it happen. From the first stanza on I was smitten. I am seriously at a loss for words to praise this one high enough.
