~Thank you for receiving
a tiny little seed
I am writing you this poem
I know now, that you need.
~Thank you for my hair
that is chestnut brown
for making me laugh
when I am feeling down.
~Thank you for my teeth
your's are almost the same
for the past indecisions
you are not, who I blame.
~Thank you for my expression
it is shown upon my face
I look to a warmer future
it's all, I shall embrace.
~Thank you for my knowledge
I inherited, your brain
to always research a decision
a goal, I may obtain.
~Thank you for my twin
if it wasn't for you
there would only be one of us
instead there are two.
~Thank you for your passion
to finish what I start
this is why we've come together
you are a big, important part.
~Someday I hope to utter
the phrase you long to hear
the words, I love you Mother
a feeling that's so sincere.
