Anything I touch crumbles to dust.
Hiding within the safety of the darkness,
I am consoled only by my deepest fears.
My companions thus far and forevermore.
Is it paranoia causing this immense disturbance?
Or is there something more lurking here?
An entity I have yet to understand?
This night holds only deep shadows.
Unique and eerie.
Are these unknowns the cause?
Or merely inventions meant to take the blame?
They move—just out of minds grasp.
The air becomes rent by a shattering burst of sound.
Forlorn.
Angry.
Powerful.
Permeating every iota of thought.
And now—these silent screams
Having reached a crescendo,
Swirl shivers like horseflies
On a battlefield
Littered with blood and body parts.
These possessing thoughts of hopelessness secure their grasp—
And welcome me within these cool walls of consciousness.
Goodbye cruel world.

Chaos is the basis of all life. Your poem is a good example of chaos being put to word. Good strong poem.
