For the fact that it's comforting
I must know that dreams of love will always be with me
Until they all sink into the sea
Ecstasy is just another marble saint
And obliterates all memory
Tumbling through someone else's consciousness
Ecstasy dreams of a secret encounter
Dreaming of a new beginning
Your new lover, ecstasy, snorts with dirision
Ecstasy loves to many people
And speaks of passion
Ecstasy is my mentor
And there's nothing I can do about it
She instinctively knows me
Ecstasy is a criminal in front of God and everyone else
And reminds me of the pain
She melts away in the morning
Someone named ecstasy makes me tired
Yet she makes me ready to go
Ecstasy is very clever
She makes me do it over and over
This woman ecstasy is leaving town
For at least a week
Certainly, goodness and mercy are part of a conspiracy against me
So I will defend the faith

I will fear only fear
For the fact that it's comforting
I must know that dreams of love will always be with me
Until they all sink into the sea
Ecstasy is just another marble saint
