swallowed by my shallow screaming
taken by my mystical illusions
my alarm clock wakes me up,
shrilling in my ear,
waking me to monsters that walk in the shadows
it's raining outside
pounding drums on my window
sheets of water glass on the surface
each a perfect circle of liquid
a never ending circle
don't leave me here
i don't suppose i can take all of this
my mind's too full
wipe my memory clean
just leave me the thoughts
of the sweet, bitter chocolate lullaby
i sing at night
that leaves an aftertaste
of a wonderful sour smell
the winds are calling my name
each tells a story
i just escape to my world of gentle whispers
that lie beneath me and cover me
like a down feather blanket
my white roses look like paper flowers
that the rain would melt to dust
fall on me, rain water
with your fingers that feel like rose petals
candy-floss clouds outlined in an organic sky
as i lie in my bed of roses
i'm cut by the thorns
i'm bleeding sadness and despair
i'm bleeding happiness and joy
drain me out
let me cry, cry for these hallow rememberances
they'll disappear with my tears
grey ghost of my future,
call upon the darkness
and swallow me up
after all, you linger behind me
like leftover thoughts
on a rainy day such as this
i'm waiting for something to come
if only i knew what that something was
a spontaneously abstract thing
filled of love-smelling petals
and anguished-feeling thorns
