I'm broken inside
And it can't be fixed
There's so much pain
My mind is twisted
And I'm drowning in fear
The scars on my body
Evidence of my inner torture
Cutting deeper and deeper
Just trying to feel
I have family that loves me
Friends that care
But I can't let them in
Can't show them what's inside
If they get into my heart
They will destroy whatever's left of my soul
Struggling to survive
But fighting a losing battle

| Thaks for your comments and in response to Jupiter, I really do like my friends and I would do anything to help them but I don't have anyone that I trust to the extent that I can let them in, only one person has ever seen my poetry and even then they only saw three of them. |
