Finally
She stares at the night
And from where she lays
The stars are her only light,
The only way to pass the days.
She's never known anything else,
Has never felt another's touch.
Has never seen her inner beauty
Still fighting the darkness within.
But her fire still lives on
Desperately looking for the saving light,
Searching on for a new dawn
Waking only to find herself bare.
And now she can finally see
What life really can be...

Nicole, this is a very beautiful poem.. it seems like the person related to your poem is doing well.. and you are right in we all wish to find happiness and find ourselves leaving regrets and fears behind... great job
