In the darkness of the night,
I know it isn't always right.
I backed away, confused with fright
I no longer even want to fight.

There's nothing left for you to gain
When you're left standing in the rain.
All your joy goes down the drain
"Cause you cannot escape the pain.

At the closing of the year,
You're much too far away to hear
The enemy that's drawing near
But you cannot ignore the fear.

When the fear gets much too high;
you know the time is drawing nigh.
You can't let them see you cry,
Just spread your wings and learn to fly.

very well put. hopefully you can get your wings and fly away before it is too late. i know sometimes it can be tough you just have to hang in there. :)
