I fear the ground I walk on
I fear the light above
I fear the sound of losing you
I fear to lose my love
Love is like a feather
Blowing in the wind
A small breeze can take it away
And never come back again
Love is like the waves
washing on the sand
They rush right in for time
Then may never see the land
You fear the thing that makes
The world go round and round
Your heart cant take much more
It fears the love you've found
Life has brought you pain
But you always see through
To find the one worth keeping
The one thats true to you
But somehow things go wrong
Cant detect nor prevent
Youre helpless as a little child
For this love was just for rent
A temporary fix
To help you move on
Now your lost and confused
And just want to go home
But you keep your head up high
And face the world ahead
You know loves somewhere out there
Your hearts not fully dead
You will find the precious gift
That God has planned for you
Then your heart will finally mend
Youll find love thats really true
