The sky is beautiful to behold
But for me it’s raining
And unbearably cold

When will the clouds break?
When will the sky turn blue?
How much more can I take?
When will the storm be through?

I want to feel the sun
Feel the warmth upon my face
For the storm to be done
Clear skies to take its place

Once I knew brightness
I even knew purity
Around me was calmness
A feeling of security

That time is long since past
The memory feels as a dream
The distance grows vast
As I visit the opposite extreme

Between is revealed
A void that divides
All crossings concealed
Where darkness presides

Across the void
Where innocence exists
Hope is enjoyed
And brightness persists

From innocence I’ve parted,
In remorse I now lay
Across the void uncharted
I must find a way

Will there be peace or dismay?
A chance or none,
Of the storm clearing away?
Feeling the warmth of the sun? [comments] => 2 [counter] => 218 [topic] => 21 [informant] => ToriVeigh [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

I like this poem and printed it out. You weave the analogies and metaphors in and out beautifully.

Advice:
You are too into yourself. You wallow in despair and use it as a cover to hide.

Life goes on and like the weather is full of changes. If the sun is out and you can't enjoy the warmth and be happy to be alive and count your blessings, then you missed the boat. Get out of yourself. Help others and take the focus off of you. You'll feel the warmth of a 1000 suns then.

The sun is always shining somewhere, even if it's above the clouds. You just have to learn patience.

Deal with the ghosts and get on with your life.
