I'll give you a shoulder to cry on...
If you ever need one
To cry those silent tears
That well up from deep within you
They have nowhere to run... nowhere to hide
They flow out from somewhere deep inside
Just glancing into your eyes...
I see and hear your tears come tumbling down...
Like the mist of a waterfall crashing all around
You try to be brave... you try to be strong
When you say everything's fine... there's nothing wrong
I know darn good and well it's not and there is...
'Cause you cry those silent tears again and again
Silently they stream down your cheeks
Unseen by the naked eye
They fall unbidden from your heart
And the outer fringes of your mind
As your silent tears tug at my heart and my mind
You just need to let it go... leave it all behind
Just let the dam break...
Let the river flow and pool into a lake
Don't bottle it up inside... to explode like a volcano from on high
As you keeping crying those silent tears time after time
Cleanse your soul... be made whole
Let time heal all your wounds
Just shed your anguish and heartache
All the pain you've felt for so long
Sing within your heart a new song
Let the happiness that's within
Pour out all the darkness, pain and loneliness
Cry those silent tears no more...
'Cause love's knocking at your door
